The students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) took to X to defend the school against allegations of Ethnic discrimination. The present and past students of the school to their page to quote that the institution has a central mosque situated in the University.

This is following a tweet where an X user named Sarki took to his page to state that South East Universities do not own mosques."There isn't a single university in the entire Southeast that has a mosque on its premises" He stated.  He went on to attach monetary aid to back up his claim. "If you can find one university in the Southeast with a mosque, I'll give you N200k.", He added. 

However, an X User and past student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) with the handle @Odogwu_Rico took to his page to provide evidence of existing mosque in the University, stating that the mosque is a big one and is situated at the most strategic place. He went ahead to dig up the pictures of UNN Mosque. He expressly stated that the Central Mosque is located off Obukpa St and serves as a Jumm’at and daily khamsul salawat Mosque. Other individuals took to retweeting his post to support his claims.

Students of Ekwueme Federal University Ebonyi state and Micheal Okpara Federal University of Agriculture, Abia state also provided evidences of mosque in the University.
