A Twitter user has raised concerns about what he perceives as ethnic discrimination in South Eastern universities, citing the absence of mosques on campus. The user, known as @Waspapping_ and identifying as Muslim, took to Twitter to declare, “There isn’t a single university in the entire Southeast that has a mosque on its premises.” To emphasize his point, he offered a reward of N200,000 to anyone who could prove otherwise.

In a thread, @Waspapping_ argued that the significant Muslim student population in the Southeast warrants the presence of mosques to meet their religious needs. He lamented that the lack of such facilities forces Muslim students to pray in their personal residences, which he believes diminishes the sense of community among them.

Expressing disappointment over the situation, @Waspapping_ contrasted it with the provisions made for Christian students in Northern institutions, where chapels are commonly found within university grounds and throughout the region. This disparity, he suggests, indicates a need for greater inclusivity in the educational institutions of the Southeast.
