Gombe State University Unveils Admission Requirements for 2024 Academic Session

In preparation for the upcoming academic session, Gombe State University has released the admission requirements for aspiring students seeking admission into the Department of Arts and Social Science Education.

General Admission Requirements:

i. Admission through UTME (100 Level):

Candidates must attain a satisfactory score in the JAMB/UTME examinations.

A minimum of five credits in relevant Senior School Certificate subjects is required, including English Language and Mathematics.

ii. Admission through School of Basic and Remedial Studies:

Candidates must meet the conditions outlined in (i) above, except for the UTME scores.

Substitute UTME scores with at least a credit pass at the remedial level in a minimum of two relevant subjects.

Candidates are mandated to write the JAMB UTME examination.

Speaking on the admission requirements, the University Registrar stated, "We are committed to ensuring that the admission process is transparent and that candidates admitted possess the necessary academic qualifications to thrive in their chosen courses."
