The Vice Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Prof. Samuel Sunday Obeka, in a statement, labeled the accusations as baseless and aimed at tarnishing the esteemed reputation of the university.

The allegations surfaced following a publication by Vanguard Newspaper columnist, Owei Lakemfa, titled “A Labourer deserves his wages except in Methodist Church Nigeria”. However, Wesley University's administration has clarified that such assertions are unfounded and lack credibility.
