Wesley University to Celebrate 13th Convocation with "Wesleyan Heritage"

Wesley University, Ondo, is set to host its 13th Convocation Ceremony from Thursday, November 21, to Sunday, November 24, 2024. Themed "Wesleyan Heritage: A Panacea for Physical, Social, and Spiritual Growth," the event highlights the institution's commitment to fostering holistic development among its graduates.

The four-day celebration will begin with a Convocation Crusade held daily from November 21 to 23, between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. The activities will include a series of inspirational sessions aimed at reinforcing the university’s spiritual heritage. On Friday, November 22, the 13th Convocation Lecture, Alumni, and Endowment Program will take place from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with notable speakers and alumni participating.

The highlight of the convocation will be the Conferment of Degrees and Awards on Saturday, November 23, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, where graduates will be recognized for their academic achievements. The celebration will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 24, at 10:00 AM.

Distinguished guests expected at the ceremony include Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria; Dr. Paul Enenche, Chancellor of Wesley University and Chairman of the 13th Convocation; and the Vice Chancellor, Right Reverend Professor Obeka S. Sunday. Evangelist Sunday Ogwuche from God’s Care Mission Inc., Okpo, Kogi State, will deliver the convocation lecture, alongside other ministers who will offer spiritual messages.

Vice Chancellor Right Reverend Professor Sunday Obeka expressed excitement about this year’s event, emphasizing its unique focus on spiritual and moral values. He invited the university community and the public to join in celebrating the academic, social, and spiritual accomplishments of Wesley University’s graduating class.
