Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), a renowned legal luminary and former chairman of the Body of Benchers, has announced that the construction of the Senate Building donated to Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) will be completed by October 2024.

This commitment stems from Chief Olanipekun's promise during his tenure as the pioneer chancellor of the university, appointed by the Kayode Fayemi-led defunct administration. He pledged to construct the Senate building without accepting any allowance or other benefits, solely dedicating himself to the development of the state-owned university.

The completed Senate Building will include state-of-the-art facilities such as a conference room, the vice-chancellor's office, Senate conference room, council's conference room, deputy vice chancellor's office, registrar's office, bursar's office, and administrative offices, among others.
