Role Overview:
The Personal Assistant (PA) will provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Vice-Chancellor, serving as the primary liaison for the office and ensuring seamless coordination of strategic and administrative activities. The position requires a proactive, discreet, and highly organised professional capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Support: Manage the Vice-Chancellor’s schedule, appointments, travel, and correspondence with discretion and efficiency.
  • Communication Management: Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including the Governing Council, senior management, government officials, and partners.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Draft, proofread, and prepare correspondence, reports, speeches, and presentations on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organise and support meetings chaired or attended by the Vice-Chancellor, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-ups.
  • Confidentiality Management: Handle sensitive information with integrity and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Project and Event Support: Assist in administrative support for institutional projects, programmes, and events involving the Vice-Chancellor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A university degree in any relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar senior administrative role, preferably within a university or comparable organisation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, and ability to work independently.
  • Professional appearance, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
