Prof. Oduwole also commended the existing ACU alumni chapter in Ibadan, led by Dr. Peter Oiku, for its contributions to the university’s health centre and for successfully organising an alumni lecture featuring Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola in recent weeks.

“We are moving, and we want you to get into it. Everybody has to come on board,” she added, calling for innovative contributions to reposition the university for greater impact.

Other principal officers present at the meeting—including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Afolake Olanbiwonninu; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Olukayode Binuyo; Registrar, Dr. Bode Olofinmuagun; and Bursar, Dr. Ayodele Olusanwo—reinforced the Vice-Chancellor’s position. They stressed that alumni participation is essential to sustaining the university’s growth trajectory and formally urged the formation of an Ibadan alumni branch.
