ADUSTECH Vice Chancellor Leads High-Level Delegation on Courtesy Visit to Emir Sanusi II in Kano
The Pro-Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, led members of the University Council and Management on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, at his palace.
The Pro-Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, led members of the University Council and Management on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, at his palace.

The visit, according to the Vice Chancellor, was both a formal homage and a condolence visit following the recent passing of the Emir’s younger brother.
Speaking during the engagement, Professor Yakasai expressed the institution’s sympathy over the loss and reaffirmed the University’s respect for the Kano Emirate.
In his response, Emir Sanusi II appreciated the delegation for the visit and encouraged the University leadership to sustain and strengthen its developmental strides.
He noted that ADUSTECH has recorded commendable progress over the years and urged the management to maintain its momentum in order to remain competitive among state-owned universities in Nigeria.
“We are proud of the university due to its performance over the years, and we urge you to keep doing your best in order to continue competing with other state universities in the country,” the Emir said.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by senior officials of the institution, including the Chairman of the Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor, Justice Abdu Aboki (Rtd.); Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Ado Mukhtar Bichi; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Nouraddeen Umar Bashir; University Registrar, Dr. Naheed Ibrahim; Professor Abdullahi Muhammad of Dawakin Kudu; University Librarian, Aminu Tukur Halilu; the University Bursar; as well as other members of Council and management staff.

The visit underscores ongoing institutional efforts to strengthen relationships with traditional institutions and reinforce mutual support between academia and cultural leadership in the state.
