The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has announced resumption details and restated key campus regulations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, as the institution formally welcomes both new and returning students.
In a circular issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Dambazau, the University disclosed that all halls of residence will reopen on Sunday, January 11, 2026, by 8:00 a.m. prompt.
According to the circular, the University’s central focus for the session is the maintenance of a safe, clean, and disciplined academic environment, warning that all existing rules remain fully in force and that violations will attract strict sanctions.
Hygiene and Environmental Sanitation
Management reiterated that open defecation is strictly prohibited, directing students to make proper use of designated restroom facilities at all times. Littering is also banned, with students required to dispose of waste in approved bins to sustain campus hygiene.
The University further prohibited the splitting or splashing of water in corridors, balconies, and common areas, citing safety concerns and potential damage to hostel infrastructure.
Electrical Appliances and Fire Safety
To curb fire hazards and electrical overload, the use of heavy-duty electrical appliances—including hot plates, electric cookers, immersion heaters, and refrigerators—is banned in all hostels.
Cooking is restricted to designated kitchenette areas only, using approved methods. Where gas cylinders are permitted, they must be properly stored and handled.

Security and Personal Property
Students were cautioned against the ostentatious display of expensive phones, gadgets, or jewelry, as the University will not be held liable for the loss of high-value personal items, particularly in shared spaces.
For security purposes, all students must carry their University identity cards at all times and present them when requested by security personnel.
Code of Conduct and Residency Rules
The circular issued a strong warning against squatting, defined as accommodating unregistered occupants in hostels. Both the registered resident and the squatter will face disciplinary action, including possible loss of hostel accommodation.
Students are also required to observe curfew and quiet hours. Hostel residents must return to their halls by 10:00 p.m., while off-campus students are expected to be back by 12:00 midnight. Noise levels must be kept to the barest minimum to respect academic and residential peace.
Additionally, strict compliance with the University-approved dress code is mandatory at all times on campus.
Management’s Assurance
Prof. Dambazau emphasized that University Management remains committed to students’ welfare, comfort, and academic success, but stressed that cooperation from students is non-negotiable. He warned that non-compliance will result in immediate forfeiture of hostel bed spaces and may attract further disciplinary measures.
The circular was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administrative), Registrar, Director of Security, Hall Administrators, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, and Presidents of all registered associations.
The University wished all students a productive and successful 2025/2026 Academic Session.
