Afe Babalola University Named Nigeria's Best for Third Consecutive Year

Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), has been named the best university in Nigeria for the third consecutive year, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education Impact World Universities Ranking. 

The university's founder, Chief Afe Babalola SAN, announced the news on Sunday during a press briefing in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. ABUAD, a 15-year-old private institution, outperformed 264 other Nigerian universities and secured the 4th spot in Africa and the 142nd position among the 2,152 universities ranked globally.

Additionally, ABUAD was rated first worldwide in Social Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and achieved the highest scores in Outreach Programmes and Stewardship, with a 98.2% impact ranking.

Babalola credited the university's ascent to its quality curriculum, stable academic calendar, and the community's commitment to academic excellence. He emphasized the significance of this achievement for Nigerian education and urged other institutions to emulate ABUAD's approach to innovation and hard work.
