The Management of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), has indicated interest in a partnership with Dalsey Hillblom Lynn (DHL) International.

This was made known during a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University, Prof. Nse U. Essien by the Station Manager, DHL International Nigeria Limited, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the University Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.

Speaking on the aim of the visit, the Station Manager, DHL International Nigeria Limited, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Michael Ayahi explained that the company is the number one Courier Service Provider of mail deliveries, parcel express, freight transport, supply chain management and e-commerce logistics solutions with shipping visibility and real-time access that allows customers to track their shipping. Mr Ayahi then requested that DHL International should be given a chance to partner with AKSU and assured the Vice-Chancellor of prompt transcript and other services' delivery with considerable discount rates for transactions. He expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for giving them the opportunity to interact with him.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University, Prof. Nse U. Essien said the University Management would consider the partnership proposal but advised the visiting team to provide definite discount percentages that will guide adequate calculation in courier transactions and to liaise with the University Postal Agency for the process. He welcomed them and commended the Management of DHL International for their excellent service delivery in international shipping, courier services, transportation and wished them more productive years in their service delivery.

In a vote of thanks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Ita Ewa-Oboho appreciated God Almighty for making the visit possible and successful. He eulogised the Vice-Chancellor for his generosity, contributions and kind attention during the visit. He also lauded DHL International for standing the test of time in the global market and prayed for journey mercy to their destination.

Present at the meeting were: the Head, Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. Gabriel Otu; Head, Directorate of General Administration, Mr. Kufre Idiok and other staff of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
