Al-Ansar University Maiduguri (AUM) Congratulates Newgate University Minna (NUM) on Maiden Convocation
Al-Ansar University Maiduguri (AUM), under the visionary leadership of its Founder and Proprietor, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Newgate University Minna (NUM) on the historic occasion of its Maiden Convocation Ceremony held on 2nd and 3rd December 2025.
This significant academic milestone was celebrated with great honour, following the official invitation extended to Dr. Dikwa by the Founder, Pro-Chancellor, and Chairman Governing Council of NUM, Mallam Hassan Nuhu (Mayannan Minna). Due to official engagements, Dr. Dikwa was duly represented at the ceremony by the Acting Vice Chancellor of AUM, Professor Fanna Inna Abdurrahman, who delivered his goodwill message on behalf of the University community.
In his congratulatory message, Dr. Dikwa described the maiden convocation as:
“A remarkable celebration of resilience, disciplined leadership, academic excellence, and an inspiring demonstration of what focused vision can achieve within a short period.”
He further commended the exemplary leadership of Mallam Hassan Nuhu, noting:

Reflecting on the shared journey of both institutions, Dr. Dikwa emphasized their unique bond, stating:
“Al-Ansar University Maiduguri and Newgate University Minna were both licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2022. To see NUM hosting its maiden convocation is a clear reflection of strong governance, visionary planning, and institutional discipline.”
He added that AUM remains on a steady path of growth as it prepares for its maiden convocation in 2026, In shaa’ Allah, while continuing to expand its academic programmes and infrastructural development.
Addressing the pioneer graduating class, Dr. Dikwa conveyed profound goodwill, saying:
“To the graduating students, we extend our warmest congratulations. You are stepping forward as ambassadors of knowledge, character, and innovation. May your future be filled with excellence, purpose, and divine guidance.”
He concluded with a message of continued collaboration and institutional synergy:
