The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AEFUNA) has canceled the PPL 502 (Company Law II) examination for final-year Law students following their violation of university directives.
The decision, announced in a memo dated August 22, 2025, from the Directorate of Academic Planning, aims to serve as a deterrent to others.
The cancellation stems from students engaging in sign-out ceremonies and wild celebrations within the university premises immediately after the exam, despite prior instructions banning such activities. The rescheduled exam is now set for Friday, September 12, 2025. Additionally, the Faculty of Law has been directed to return all answer scripts and question papers to the Directorate of Academic Planning by 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025.

In a related development, an internal memo from the Dean of Students' Affairs, dated the same day, imposed a fine of ₦5,000 on final-year students caught wearing costumes during exams, contravening an earlier ban. Those who comply with the directive will be allowed to retake the canceled exam, while non-payment will result in exclusion.
The university management emphasized strict compliance with these directives, signaling a firm stance on maintaining order during the examination period.
