Alhaji Musa Gashua, Deputy Director of Degree Programs at Umar Suleiman College of Education, Passes Away

It is with profound sorrow and a sense of great loss that the Umar Suleiman College of Education, Gashua, announces the passing of a respected educator and administrator, Alhaji Musa Gashua.

Alhaji Musa Gashua, who served as the Deputy Director of Degree Programs for the college (affiliated with the University of Maiduguri), passed away in the early hours of Sunday, 18th January 2026. 

The Janazah (funeral prayer) is scheduled to take place today, Sunday, 18th January 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM. The service will be held in Gashua town, near the old Cinema along the Sarkin Hausawa street. 

The entire college community, friends, family, and colleagues join in offering their deepest condolences and prayers during this difficult time. 

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus. We pray that Allah grants his family and loved ones the strength and courage to walk through this moment.
