Anglican Primate Visits Ajayi Crowther University, Assures Enhanced Security Measures
Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), visited Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) in response to recent security issues, including the tragic death of a student.
In response to recent security challenges at Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, has undertaken a solidarity visit to reassure stakeholders of improved safety measures on campus. The visit follows unfortunate incidents including the tragic death of a 200-level engineering student, Alex Timileyi, who was reportedly beaten to death by fellow students over allegations of theft.
During his visit, Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, accompanied by prominent university officials including the Visitor Most Rev. Joseph Akinfenwa and the Pro-Chancellor Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo, expressed deep concern over the incidents and emphasized the resilience of the university community in overcoming challenges.
"The recent events have deeply shaken us all. However, I am confident that with enhanced security measures and the support of stakeholders, Ajayi Crowther University will emerge stronger," remarked Primate Ndukuba.
In response to the incidents, ACU management has pledged to bolster security protocols across campus. The Primate urged students to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the university authorities rather than resorting to social media.

"Social media should not be the platform for addressing security concerns. We encourage students to utilize official channels for reporting, ensuring swift and effective responses," advised Most Rev. Ndukuba.
