Asmau and Hassan Foundation Visits VC of NSUK, Seeks More Support and Collaboration.
A Non Governmental Organisation, the Asmau and Hassan Foundation has sought for the support and collaboration of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in the execution of the its activities and projects in Nasarawa State and its immediate catchment areas.
The spokesman of the Organisation Ahmed Sufiyan Alkassim made this position known when he led other Executive Committee Members of the Foundation on a courtesy and thank you visit to the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman recently.
Mallam Alkassim while highlighting the activities of the Organisation stated that the Asmau and Hassan Foundation was created to bridge the gap between the vulnerable and the most needy in the society through its REEF Program which stands for Rehabilitation, Education, Empowerment and Feeding the less privileged.
He stressed that they were also seeking the University's support and collaboration to achieve the REEF objectives in reaching more vulnerable persons in the society noting that some students and orphans of the University are currently on the foundation's scholarship stating that they have also distributed empowerment tools to over 20 widows in Keffi.
In her response, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman appreciated the Asmau and Hassan Foundation for the visit and humanitarian support it is providing to the less less privileged in the society, noting that the visit has opened a new vista in the relationship between the Foundation and the University. She reiterated the university's commitment towards supporting the initiatives of the noble foundation in achieving its set aims and objectives.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of branded souvenirs to the Vice-Chancellor in appreciation of her support to the Asmau and Hassan Foundation.
