The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has officially refuted recent claims circulating on social media and certain online platforms.

These allegations suggested that the National Universities Commission (NUC) uncovered approximately 100 fake professors within Nigerian universities, including seven individuals purportedly affiliated with ATBU.

Zailani Bappa, Director of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations at ATBU, vehemently denied the accusations, emphasizing that none of the mentioned individuals were associated with the university in any capacity. Bappa urged stakeholders to dismiss these claims, labeling them as baseless fabrications aimed at tarnishing the institution's hard-earned reputation.
