Bandits Invade Kaduna Pry School, Shoot Pupil, Abduct Dozens
According to local sources, the junior and secondary school had relocated to a building within Kuriga town a few years ago due to security concerns, abandoning their former location outside the town.
Pandemonium struck Kuriga town in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State as bandits raided LEA Primary School, Kuriga (1), abducting dozens of pupils. The exact number of abducted individuals remains unconfirmed, though residents estimate it to be around 100.
The shocking incident occurred at 8:20 am immediately after the morning assembly on Thursday. Among the victims are reported to be the head teacher of the school and several staff members.

Eyewitnesses recounted how pupils fled their classrooms upon spotting the bandits on the school premises. The abducted victims were then reportedly marched into the nearby forest.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the state government. Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, did not respond to inquiries, and attempts to reach the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful.
