The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), His Excellency Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, has congratulated Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad on her appointment as the new Minister of State for Education.
Dr. Gawuna praised Dr. Suwaiba for her impressive two-decade-long career in the education sector, highlighting her achievements in science education and advocacy for girl-child education. He acknowledged her leadership roles, including serving as a lecturer and Director of Gender Studies at BUK and later as Provost of the Jigawa State College of Education.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Suwaiba’s appointment would usher in transformative leadership and innovative solutions to Nigeria's educational challenges. He further prayed for Allah’s guidance and wisdom in her new role.
