Bayero University Kano Faculty of Agriculture Welcomes New Students with Orientation Program

The Faculty of Agriculture at Bayero University, Kano (BUK) organized an orientation ceremony for its level 100 students admitted into the 2022/2023 academic session.

The program aimed to familiarize new students with the university's rules, regulations, and resources.

Prof. M. A. Hussaini, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of understanding university policies, accessing health facilities, utilizing academic resources, and maintaining campus security awareness.

Presentations from various administrative departments covered key topics:

- Examinations misconduct and regulations (M. J. Magaji)

- Understanding examinations and probation (Dr. I. M. Sani)

- Dress code policies (Malama Mero Mohammed, BUK Dress Code Committee)

- Campus security (Mohammad Tasiu Abdullahi, representing Director of Security Division)

- Accessing healthcare facilities and maintaining hygiene (Dr. Fatima Mohammad Bako, representing Director of Health Services)

The Nigerian Association of Agriculture Students (NAAS) leadership also addressed the freshers, encouraging them to actively participate in faculty activities.

The orientation program equipped new students with essential information to ensure a smooth transition into university life.
