Speaking, the Ag. VC, Prof. Stephen Ncha Ochang, expressed excitement at the initiative, saying, "It would add value to UNICROSS." The University Chief Executive noted that the research and development component of the scheme was in tune with the mandate and focus of the institution.

Mr. Inyang clarified that his company chose to partner UNICROSS, due to the University's track record of excellence.

Speaking further, the Executive Director, Mr. Deji Afolabi, stated that the company seeks to revolutionize the Nigeria energy market. The Cross River State representative in the company, Mr. Emmanuel Etim, in turn, identified training as a crucial component of the process, pointing out that NATA would have to be trained, certified and their skills upgraded by the University, for them to be able to retrofit vehicles in the state. He concluded that they had no doubt in the capacity of UNICROSS to provide the target-trainees with the relevant learning opportunity, considering the quality of curriculum and available resources. This, he anticipated, will help to foster the growth of the sector and the state.
