The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has promoted twenty-two academics to the rank of Professor, marking the first such appointments since its historic transition from a College of Education to a University.

The decision, made by the University's Appointments and Promotions Committee (Academic), was finalized at a meeting held on September 17, 2024. These newly promoted Professors represent the first wave of scholars nurtured within BOUESTI to attain this distinguished rank, signifying a new era of academic excellence for the institution.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa lauded the milestone as a testament to BOUESTI's growing status as a premier academic institution. “The elevation of these outstanding academics to Professorship is a testament to their dedication, research excellence, and the progressive strides our University is making as an academic powerhouse,” he remarked.

The promotion process involved rigorous evaluations of the candidates' academic contributions, research achievements, teaching experience, and service to the University.
