Brand Optimal, a leading creative and digital agency specializing in experiential marketing, is set to collaborate with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) on the Campus Storm Initiative. The initiative aims to provide students and staff with an interactive platform to experience the latest technological advancements while offering students opportunities to serve as brand ambassadors.

During a high-profile meeting at FUNAAB, top officials of Brand Optimal, the official representative of Samsung on Nigerian campuses, engaged with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, and other key university officers to discuss the potential partnership.

Welcoming the Brand Optimal delegation, Prof. Kehinde highlighted FUNAAB’s extensive land resources, covering over 10,000 hectares, and reiterated the university’s commitment to collaborations that enhance student learning and professional growth. He expressed strong support for the initiative and assured assistance in identifying a suitable location, with the Directorate of Physical Planning set to conduct a site visit.

Representing Brand Optimal, Mr. Kola Kupoluyi, the agency’s Ogun State representative and Samsung’s campus liaison, introduced the Campus Storm Initiative as a platform for immersive brand engagement. He detailed plans for a pop-up experience center where students and staff could explore and purchase the latest technological devices. Additionally, 50 students will be selected as brand ambassadors, receiving hands-on marketing experience and earning commissions on device promotions. Exceptional ambassadors will also have internship opportunities to enhance their career prospects.

Commending the initiative, Prof. Iyabode Kehinde, Dean of the College of Biosciences (COLBIOS), who facilitated the meeting, described it as a crucial step towards holistic student development. She further suggested increasing the number of ambassadors and internship slots to benefit more students.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize the partnership. Both parties expressed optimism about the initiative’s potential to enrich students’ learning experiences at FUNAAB.
