BUK Agricultural Ambassadors Promote Sustainability through Tree-Planting Campaign

The Bayero University Kano (BUK) Agricultural Ambassadors have launched a tree-planting campaign to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability and mitigate the effects of climate change.

In collaboration with the Office of the SUG Governor AKTH Campus, Youth Day of Service (YDOS), and LEAP Africa, the organization has planted 40 fruiting seedlings (cashew, mango, and malmo) at the AKTH Campus, marking the fourth phase of their tree-planting drive.

The campaign, themed "Eco Pulse: Branching out for Health," aims to promote a sustainable and green world by encouraging collective action to preserve trees, biodiversity, and natural beauty.

Previous phases of the campaign took place at Staff Secondary School BUK, Tudun Yola Community in Gwale Local Government, and the Faculty of Agriculture.

Future phases are planned for the New School of Postgraduate, Danbare Community, and Old Site Campus.
