BUK SRA Attends Sen. Jaafar's Physiological Quiz and Debate, Pledges Support for Department of Human Physiology
On Thursday 19th October, 2023, the Speaker of the 24th SRA in person of Rt. Hon. Kabir Tijjani Yaro accompanied by the Parliamentary Secretary in person of Sen. Abubakar Sani and Deputy Speaker, Sen. Simbiat Ibilola attended the Physiological Quiz and Debate at the Faculty Basic Medical Science, JOC Theatre Bayero University,Kano organized by the deputy house of leader, Sen. Jaafar Ibn Jaafar from the department of Human Physiology. Winners of the competition were and awarded a token of N20,000 and N10,000 to Team B and Team D respectively. Sen. Abubakar Sani and Deputy Speaker, Sen. Simbiat Ibilola attended the Physiological Quiz and Debate at the Faculty Basic Medical Science, JOC Theatre, Bayero University, Kano organized by the Deputy House Leader, Sen. Jaafar Ibn Jaafar from Department of Human Physiology.
The event also acknowledged the presence of some of the newly elected Executives of the Students’ Union Government, Bayero University, Kano which include the Vice President in person of Najaatu Muhammad, Comr. Hassan Zubair Paki as the Secretary General, the Welfare Director, Musa Muhammad Khamis, the Financial Secretary, Farouk Muhammad Sani and the Social Director, Sulaiman Hussain.
In a statement available to Pressmen at the event, Rt. Hon. Yaro stated “I feel honored to have attended this event as one amongst the first events in my office, it was indeed a great opportunity.”
“I urge all the senators representing their respective departments to join in organizing such kind of event to make their Department and Faculty as a competitive environment.”
While concluding the speech, Rt. Hon. Yaro said “I congratulate all of you as there are neither winners nor losers in a competition and I pray for a better and successful academic endeavor in the future.”
