BUK VC Receives DRPC Team, Explores Collaboration on Gender Issues
The Management of Bayero University Kano (BUK) received a team from Development Research and Project Centre (DRPC) on a courtesy call on Monday, May 6, 2024.

The team, led by Aliyu Hassan Karofi, was received by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, represented by the DVC Academics, Professor Sani Muhammad Gumel.
The visit aimed to explore collaboration between BUK and DRPC on gender-based issues, particularly maternal health and gender-based issues.

DRPC's team leader highlighted the centre's peer-to-peer learning initiative, which engages traditional and religious leaders in contemporary Islamic issues, with support from AlAzhar University, Cairo.
The Vice Chancellor welcomed the team and expressed enthusiasm for the potential Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), citing the Centre for Islamic Civilization and Interfaith Dialogue (CICID)'s alignment with DRPC's goals.
