Chancellor of Hillside University Advocates for Skills Acquisition in Universities

The Chancellor of Hillside University of Science and Technology, Olaoye Jaiyeola, has emphasized the need for Nigerian universities to focus on skills acquisition to prepare students for future job requirements. During the official launch of Hillside University in Okemesi Ekiti, Ekiti State, Jaiyeola urged the Federal Government to make universities more entrepreneurial, ensuring graduates possess modern skills necessary for tomorrow's job market.

He expressed confidence that graduates from Hillside University would be equipped with contemporary skills and technical abilities to address various challenges facing society. The Chancellor highlighted the importance of focusing on courses that prepare individuals to contribute meaningfully to the Nigerian economy.

The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Chris Mayaki, commended Jaiyeola for his contributions to education. Mayaki stated that the NUC would continue to collaborate with individuals and organizations fostering educational development.
