The Christian Chukwuma Onoh College of Education, located in Hilltop, Ngwo, Enugu State, held its inaugural meeting of the Governing Council on Thursday, emphasising commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth. Chaired by Professor Agu Gabriel Agu, the meeting saw notable figures like former Minister John Nwodo and Barr. Bianca Ojukwu in attendance.
Professor Agu Gabriel Agu, Chairman of the Governing Council, set the tone for the meeting by urging council members to uphold diligence and transparency in their duties, emphasizing the legacy of the institution's founding father, H.E Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh. He expressed optimism about the college's future and urged the Provost and management team to implement proposed initiatives with dedication.
Former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nwodo, highlighted the pivotal role of strategic partnerships in advancing education. Drawing on his experience as a two-time Minister, Nwodo advocated for collaborations with the private sector and international organizations to secure funding and enhance infrastructure and academic programs at the institution.

Barr. Bianca Ojukwu, daughter of Christian Onoh and former Ambassador to Spain, expressed pride in the institution honoring her father's name. She emphasized the importance of education, echoing her father’s belief that it is instrumental in shaping a prosperous future for society.
