In a remarkable show of cultural solidarity, the management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Greg Nwakoby, extended heartfelt felicitations to the revered traditional ruler of Ogidi Kingdom, HRH Igwe Dr. Alex Onyido, also known as Igwe Ezechuamagha, on the occasion of his 4th Ofala Festival. The celebration took place on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
The Vice-Chancellor, joined by a distinguished entourage, including Deputy Vice Academics Prof. Osita Chiaghanam, Former Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Prof. Elis Idemobi, Director of JUPEB Programme Prof. A.C. Nweke, Director GS Prof. I.C. Nganga, Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Ugwumba, Dean Faculty of Clinical Medicine Prof. Obiorah Ejiofor, High Chief Prof. Jackson Ikeora, Dean of Student Affairs Rev. Canon Dr. Sunday Achebe, and the University's Public Relations Officer Dr. Harrison Madubueze, graced the auspicious event.
It is worth noting that Igwe Alex Onyido has significantly contributed to the development of the university, as he single-handedly spearheaded the construction of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Complex. This commendable effort underscores the monarch's commitment to educational advancement and community development.
