Chima Oriaku, the Commissioner for Science and Technology in Abia State, has affirmed the commitment of the Governor Alex Otti-led government to fully digitalize the state's civil service by March 2024. The announcement came during a sensitization and training session organized by Xerox Nigeria Limited for public servants in Abia.

Mr. Oriaku highlighted the significance of automating the entire state government workflow into a digitalized format to enhance efficiency and ease of management for the workforce. In the past, government files were maintained in paper and analogue formats, leading to vulnerabilities such as loss and destruction due to weather and other natural forces

The commissioner emphasized that the digitalization initiative aims to create a centralized data management system, allowing government officials instant access to crucial data with a simple button press. He underscored the importance of partnering with Xerox Nigeria Limited to support this transformative plan.
