Dr. Titus Adeniyi Takes Office as FUNAAB’s 5th Substantive Registrar, Pledges Collaborative Leadership

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), celebrated a landmark moment on November 1, 2024, as Dr. Titus Adedeji Adeniyi officially assumed the role of the institution’s 5th Substantive Registrar.

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), celebrated a landmark moment on November 1, 2024, as Dr. Titus Adedeji Adeniyi officially assumed the role of the institution’s 5th Substantive Registrar. Accompanied by a delegation from Osun State University (UNIOSUN), led by Registrar Mrs. Atinuke Oguntunde, and supported by his wife, Dr. Adeniyi expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in him by the Governing Council.

In his inaugural remarks, Dr. Adeniyi emphasized his commitment to collaborative leadership aimed at advancing FUNAAB’s growth and progress. "We are poised to uphold and advance the University’s mission and vision, driving FUNAAB to even greater achievements,” he stated, promising a tenure focused on harmony and innovation within the university community.

Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu, the outgoing Acting Registrar, conveyed her gratitude to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Kehinde for the opportunity to serve over the past 13 months. She thanked the Registry staff for their support and pledged her cooperation with Dr. Adeniyi to ensure a smooth transition.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi commended Mrs. Dawodu for her dedication and integrity and welcomed Dr. Adeniyi as a valuable addition to FUNAAB. He lauded UNIOSUN for sharing "one of their best" with FUNAAB, adding that "the Registry is the backbone of any university" and expressing confidence in Dr. Adeniyi's potential to lead effectively.

The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the university, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Prof. Kola Adebayo, Director of CEADESE Prof. Adeboye Fafiolu, SSANU-FUNAAB Chairman Comrade Olurotimi Fasunwon and his executive members, as well as Assistant Chief Environmental Officer Mr. Peter Bolarinwa.
