The management of Ebonyi State College of Nursing Sciences has issued a public warning over fraudulent activities involving individuals and groups allegedly selling fake admission forms in the institution’s name.
In a disclaimer released by the college, the management clarified that admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session are not yet on sale and warned prospective students, parents, and guardians against falling victim to scammers demanding payment for admissions.
The institution stated that it has not authorised any agent, individual, or third-party online platform to process admissions or sell forms on its behalf.
According to the statement, all official admission information will only be published through the college’s official website and designated notice boards.

The college further stressed that all payments relating to admission forms and school fees must be processed exclusively through the Remita payment platform using a Remita Retrieval Reference generated directly from the institution’s website.
Management warned members of the public against making payments into personal bank accounts, insisting that such transactions are fraudulent and unauthorised.
It also identified the institution’s official admission portal as the only legitimate channel for admission processing into the college.
The management advised the public to ignore calls, text messages, and social media advertisements requesting payment for admission forms outside the approved process.
It added that anyone who deals with fraudsters does so at their own risk, noting that the institution would not be responsible for losses arising from such transactions.
The college urged members of the public to report suspicious admission-related activities through its official communication channels or to the nearest law enforcement agency.
