In a stirring lecture at the 4th edition of Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye Annual Birthday Public Lecture on Education, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), has urged educators across Nigeria to adopt godliness, character, and intentional leadership in shaping the next generation.

The lecture, held on July 1, 2025, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Youth Centre, Redemption City, Ogun State, commemorated the 77th birthday of Pastor Folu Adeboye. Professor Olatunji-Bello lamented the growing moral decay in Nigeria's education system and the absence of godliness in the upbringing of children.

The lecture concluded with a celebration of Pastor Folu Adeboye's life and legacy, with Professor Olatunji-Bello receiving an award of honour. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including government officials, traditional rulers, and gospel ministers .
