EFSA-UDUS Organizes Historic Excursion to Sultan of Sokoto Palace and Museum
The Educational Foundations Students' Association (EFSA) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) is set to host an unprecedented excursion to the Sultan of Sokoto palace and the History Bureau museum on September 19, 2024.
According to EFSA President, Comrade Fatai Hammad Opeyemi, this marks a groundbreaking moment for the department. "This is the first time an excursion of this nature has been organized under the Educational Foundation since I joined this institution," he stated in an interview.
The excursion aims to explore Sokoto's rich history and cultural heritage, providing an opportunity for students to learn about the state's customs, traditions, and the significance of its designation as the State of Caliphate.
The event is open to EFSA members, with a registration fee of N2,000 naira. Participants are expected to converge at the Department of Educational Foundations.
EFSA represents a diverse range of students from various tribes, states, and cultures, united by eight unit courses in the Educational Foundations department. This excursion promises to be a valuable experience for future students, enhancing their understanding of the region's cultural significance.
