Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University Hosts Qur’anic Sensitization Program

The International Institute of Qur’anic Science (IIQS) at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, recently organized a sensitization program for Qur’anic reciters and professionals across Kano State's 44 local government areas. The event was held on December 5, 2024, at the university's campus.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, highlighted the institute’s mission to promote the science of the Qur’an. He noted that extensive consultations with experts preceded the establishment of IIQS to ensure collaborative efforts in advancing Qur’anic education. Professor Garba emphasized the enduring legacy of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu, reflected in KHAIRUN's curriculum, which integrates science-based courses with Qur’anic recitation, morality, and entrepreneurship.

Barrister Habibu Dan-Almajiri, Coordinator of IIQS, assured participants of the institute’s commitment to adopting modern and scientific approaches to teaching and interpreting the Qur’an. He reiterated the institute's dedication to working closely with Qur’anic professionals to drive innovation in the field.
The program reinforced KHAIRUN’s role in advancing Qur’anic sciences while preserving its rich heritage.
