Eid el-Fitr message from FULafia VC Prof Shehu Abdul Rahman

Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), on behalf of the Management and Senate, wish to felicitate with Muslim staff and students of our institution on the occasion of the 2024 Eid el-Fitr celebrations.

Eid-el-Fitr is one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, marking the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramadan.

The occasion holds profound importance in the Islamic faith, signifying a time of celebration, compassion and unity within the Muslim community and highlights the values of generosity, kindness and devotion to Allah. 

Thus, as we come together to mark this significant occasion, may we embrace the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr with fervour while we spread joy and goodwill among ourselves.

May Allah (SWA) accept our ibadah and may this special day bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone.

I call on all of us to use this highly significant occasion to remind ourselves of the important values  upon which our faith is built.

May the blessings of this Eid el-Fitr bring lots of happiness in our lives and may we celebrate it with all our families and friends and may it fill our hearts with peace and love.

May all our wishes come true on this holy day, may Allah approve our kind deeds, forgive our disobedience and sins and ease the sufferings of especially Nigerians and all individuals in the world.

I urge us all to use the occasion of the Eid celebration to pray specially for our families, our University, the nation and our leaders.

May Allah help, especially, the staff and students in our University to be mutually supportive of one another with a view to actualising the objective of making our University among the best in the continent of Africa.
