Dr. Babatunde Olofinbiyi, a distinguished Reader/Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and Minimal Access Surgeon at Ekiti State University College of Medicine/Teaching Hospital, has earned accolades from the Ekiti State House of Assembly for his significant academic contributions that have made a profound impact on the state's development.
The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Barrister Adeoye Aribasoye, commended Dr. Olofinbiyi's remarkable achievements at a recent plenary session. These achievements were showcased through the Ekiti State University Research Team, which he leads, and their distinguished recognition with the Best Manuscript Award spanning five years (2018-2023).

The award, presented during the Research Carnival Week organized by the editorial board of Obafemi Awolowo University College of Health Sciences, Nigerian Journal of Health Sciences, is a testament to the team's dedication to excellence and impactful research.
The Speaker expressed his admiration for Dr. Olofinbiyi's contributions to Ekiti State and described him as a shining multitalented star who remains unwaveringly committed to the state's progress, extending his influence far beyond academia and healthcare. Dr. Olofinbiyi's dedication extends to his specialized non-governmental organization (NGO), the Adolescent Friendly Research Initiative, which has been a rare blessing to the region's disadvantaged youth.
The Ekiti State University (EKSU) research team's article titled, "Randomized Controlled Trial on Early Versus Late Feeding after Caesarean Section at a Teaching Hospital in Southwest Nigeria," emerged as the best among thousands of rigorously screened and published original articles from the journal.
