The Federal Government, under the leadership of Tinubu, dissolved the boards some time ago, leading to speculation about the new appointments. After facing pressure, including an ultimatum from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the list was finally released.

However, the National New Progressive Party (NNPP) in Ekiti State has voiced deep concern over the allocation of appointments. Chief Ade Ayeni, the NNPP Ekiti State Chairman, highlighted the issue, stating, "It's not merely the release of the list that gives us concern. Rather, it's the fact that Ekiti State has been abysmally shortchanged."

The glaring disparity has raised questions about the fairness and transparency of the appointment process. Chief Ayeni called for a review of the allocation to ensure that Ekiti State receives its rightful share.

As Nigerians await further developments, the issue remains a topic of heated debate, with stakeholders urging the government to address the concerns raised by Ekiti State and other states facing similar disparities.
