ESUT Prepares for Grand 19th Convocation Ceremony: A Celebration of Academic Achievement

Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is gearing up for its highly anticipated 19th Convocation Ceremony, a significant event that will honor the academic accomplishments of its students. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Nnabugwu Okolie, extends a warm invitation to the public, expressing the collective enthusiasm of the Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and students.

The series of events will unfold from November 16 to 27, 2022, with a diverse program highlighting various facets of academic life and achievement.

November 16, 2022: Vice-Chancellor's Press Briefing

The Convocation festivities kick off with a Press Briefing by the Vice-Chancellor at the Prof. Julius Onah Auditorium at 11 am.

November 17, 2022: Pre-Convocation Registration Commences

On this day, the pre-convocation registration begins, setting the stage for the upcoming ceremonies.

November 23, 2022: Alumni Master Class and Sports Events

The day starts with an Alumni Master Class at the Prof. Julius Onah Auditorium, featuring a session on "Coaching and Mentoring Master Class: Leaders Developing Other Leaders" by Michael Ikebudu BSc.MBA, PMP, PCC, FCIPD. The day also includes exciting football matches, showcasing the athletic prowess of ESUT students and staff at the ESUT Football Field.

November 24, 2022: Convocation Lecture

The Convocation Lecture will take place at the Amadeo Event Centre, featuring Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono FNM, Executive Secretary of TETFUND. The topic, "Education, Research, and Human Capital Development in Nigeria: The Challenges and Missing Link," will be explored. The event, chaired by Osita M. Ogbu, OON, includes a dinner at 5.00 pm.

November 25, 2022: Founder's Day Celebration and ESUT Convocation Arena Unveiling

A celebration of Founder's Day includes the unveiling of the proposed ESUT Convocation Arena at 11.00 am. The event will be graced by special guests, including Chief Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, Dr. Chimaroke Ogbonnia Nnamani, Barr. Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, and Rt Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi. Prof. Festus C. Eze, Former Registrar of ESUT, will deliver a keynote speech on "The Evolution of Enugu State University of Science and Technology." Prof. Chinedu O. Nebo, Former Federal Minister of Power and Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, will chair the event.

November 26, 2022: Convocation Ceremony for Award of Degrees

The grand convocation ceremony will take place at the ESUT Convocation Arena in Agbani at 11 am, where degrees will be awarded, special awards and prizes presented, and certificates distributed. The day concludes with an Alumni Dinner at 7.00 pm.

November 27, 2022: Thanksgiving Service

The Convocation festivities wrap up with a Thanksgiving Service at the Holy Ghost Cathedral in Ogui, Enugu, starting at 10 am.
