Federal College of Agriculture, Moor disclaimer on course accreditation

This is to inform the general public, most especially, the prospective students willing to apply for National Diploma (ND) Course in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) at the Federal College of Agriculture (FCA), Moor Plantation, Ibadan to ignore a purported malicious publication (https//nislt.gov.ng/newsdetail.php?tab146I) claiming that ND-SLT programme has not been approved for the College, Myschoolnews report.

The College Management will like to use this medium to assure the general public that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), with the statutory responsibility to approve all National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, has officially approved the programme for Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan.

This approval is sequel to the outcome of mandatory assessment of our human resources and facilities (including requisite standard Laboratories, classrooms, library, offices and other facilities required for approval) by the NBTE.

After undertaking all due diligence according to the provisions of NBTE, the course (ND-SLT) was finally approved via a letter dated 17th July, 2023 (Ref: TEB/PRO/M.97/AGR/Vol.1/41) for the College to embark on admission of students for the 2022/2023 academic session. This is in addition to thirteen (13) other NBTE-accredited courses, cutting across the fields of Agriculture including, Animal and Crop Production, Applied Sciences, Agricultural Management/Extension and Vocational Studies, as well as Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering.

We however believe that the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, Ibadan is a noble and professional association, and as such, this published message (detrimental to the mandate of FCA, Ibadan) will be retracted without delay from their site.
