The Federal Ministry of Education has officially disassociated itself from a controversial debate on same-sex marriage, which was reportedly organized by the Creative Africa Initiative.

 The Ministry has clarified that a forged letter, which used its letterhead, was circulated in connection with the debate.

In an official statement, the Ministry emphasized that the 2024 debate purportedly hosted by the Senior Secondary Education Department does not correspond with the content or scheduling mentioned in the fraudulent letter. The Ministry has affirmed that it has no involvement with the Creative Africa Initiative or the alleged debate on same-sex marriage.

The Ministry's statement urged all stakeholders to disregard the fake communication and reassured the public that the Ministry remains committed to its core educational mandate and will not engage in or endorse activities that do not align with its established policies and programs.
