Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Approves Re-sit Examinations; Registration

The Academic Board of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi has approved the conduct of re-sit examinations for eligible students following the consideration of the second semester results for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to an internal memo issued by the Registry, Academic Division, and dated January 5, 2026, the approval was granted at the Academic Board meeting held on Monday, December 18, 2025.

The Board outlined specific conditions governing the re-sit examinations. Students are permitted to register for a maximum of six (6) courses, irrespective of the semester. Only students with carryover courses are eligible to participate, while withdrawn students are expressly excluded. Registration must be done personally, as proxy registration is not allowed.

In addition, the Polytechnic clarified that no lectures will be provided for students sitting for the re-sit examinations. Eligible students are required to pay a registration fee of ₦20,000, in addition to ₦5,000 per course.

Registration for the re-sit examinations is scheduled to take place from Monday, January 5 to Friday, January 9, 2026. The examinations are tentatively slated to hold from Monday, January 12 to Saturday, January 17, 2026.
