Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Matriculates 2,504 New Students

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has matriculated 2,504 new students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The matriculation ceremony, presided over by the Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir, marked the official enrollment of students into the National Diploma 1 and Higher National Diploma 1 programs.

In his address, Dr. Bashir emphasized the importance of integrity, perseverance, and innovation in academic pursuits. He encouraged students to leverage industry-based skills offered by their lecturers and reassured them of the institution's commitment to providing a sustainable and secure learning environment.

The Registrar, Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu, urged students to approach their studies with seriousness and represent the institution positively. The Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Hafsat Abubakar Ahmad, noted the significant increase in enrollment and assured students of a peaceful and supportive environment.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Bashir inspected projects funded through the NEED assessment and ongoing asphalt overlay works, praising the federal government's intervention and instructing the Director of Works and Maintenance to mobilize staff for debris clearance in drainage areas.
