Federal Polytechnic Mubi Hosts IDEAS Project ‘Train-the-Trainers’ Workshop

Federal Polytechnic Mubi, through its Centre for Entrepreneurship and Skill Training Development (CESTD), is currently hosting a high-level Train-the-Trainers Workshop as part of the ongoing Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project.

The workshop, which is live today, January 19, 2026, is designed to enhance the capacity of trainers to deliver world-class technical and vocational skills in line with national and global standards.

National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF): Malam Aminu Mohammed Kawu delivered a comprehensive introduction to the NSQF, outlining its role in standardizing skill acquisition and certification in Nigeria.

NYESAF Presentation: Mrs. Patricia Stephen facilitated a session focused on the Nigerian Youth Employment Action Plan (NYESAF), emphasizing strategic pathways for youth empowerment through technical education.

Consultant Facilitation: The project consultant is leading specialized modules aimed at modernizing pedagogical approaches for vocational training.

The IDEAS Project is a World Bank-assisted initiative aimed at improving the quality of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Nigeria. By equipping trainers with updated methodologies and frameworks, Federal Polytechnic Mubi continues to position itself as a hub for skilled manpower development in the Northeast.
