The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, has restated its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship as a cornerstone of education and national development.

On a routine visit to the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Educational Development Services (DEEDS) for an on-the-spot assessment, the Rector, Dr. Victor Okolobah, emphasized the critical role of entrepreneurship in driving innovation, creating jobs, and fostering economic growth.

He explained that the Polytechnic is strategically positioning the directorate to meet global standards in the delivery of entrepreneurial education. According to him, men, materials, and equipment are being mobilized to transform the center into a one-stop hub for entrepreneurship training and solutions.

Dr. Okolobah stressed that the era of knowledge without entrepreneurial application has passed, adding that his vision is to ensure students graduate with hands-on knowledge and practical skills that are industry-relevant.

In a statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Anthony Ogbe, the Rector assured stakeholders that the best is yet to come for the only gazetted oil and gas institution in the African subregion, noting that purposeful leadership will continue to drive the institution’s progress.
