The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) in Kebbi State recently conducted its matriculation ceremony, during which a total of 2,095 undergraduate students were formally welcomed into the institution. The ceremony, presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, took place at the Senate Building, where the students were administered the oath governing the university’s rules and regulations.
In his address, Prof. Umar urged the new students to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations of the institution. He emphasized the importance of contributing positively to the university's growth and development by avoiding negative behaviors such as involvement in cultism, examination malpractice, and disrespect to authority figures.

Highlighting the university's progress, the Vice Chancellor mentioned that FUBK, which commenced academic activities in 2014 with three faculties and 24 degree courses, now offers 37 degree programs across five faculties.
