Federal University Lafia Librarian Professor Abiodun Iyoro Stresses Importance of Training for Effective Library Services

Professor Abiodun Iyoro, Librarian of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has underscored the crucial role of training in enhancing the productivity and efficiency of library staff.

Speaking during a recent in-house training session at the university's central library, Iyoro emphasized that libraries play a vital role in universities, providing access to a vast array of academic materials, fostering collaboration, and developing critical thinking, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills.

Iyoro noted that regular staff training is essential to maintain the importance and effectiveness of libraries. The bi-monthly training session aimed to familiarize staff with library unit functions and enable them to provide better services to their communities.
