Federal University Lokoja Mourns the Loss of Professor Abraham Dare Ajayi

The Federal University Lokoja community is in mourning following the passing of Professor Abraham Dare Ajayi, the Pioneer Dean of Allied Science and Head of the Department of Nursing Science. He died on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Professor Ajayi played a significant role in the university's history, particularly in establishing the Nursing Science program. His contributions to the institution will be deeply missed.

The burial ceremonies will take place on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his residence in Odo-Ape Bunu, Kogi State. Details of the burial arrangements can be found on the university's e-flyers.

Interestingly, Professor Ajayi's family has a notable connection, as his brother-in-law is Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, a well-known Lagos pastor, according to reports on his ex-wife Olamide Agunloye's domestic violence experience .
