Federal University Lokoja Senate President Directs Suspension of Sporting Activities

The Senate President of the Students' Representative Council at Federal University Lokoja has directed the suspension of all ongoing and planned Students' Union sporting activities, including the SUG Games.

The decision was made pending the appearance of the Director of Sport, Students' Union Government, before the Students' Representative Council.

The Director of Sport has been requested to present a comprehensive report detailing plans for the sporting events, fiscal plans, and budget breakdown. The report is required to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the Union's financial framework and priorities.

The Students' Representative Council seeks to ensure that the sporting events are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner, with clear financial planning and execution. The appearance of the Director of Sport will enable the Parliament to deliberate and make informed decisions in the best interest of the student body .
